Initial Thoughts on the lululemon Cargo Super High-Rise Hiking Tights

lululemon did the impossible – a pair of tights that offer the comfort and flexibility that their leggings have become known for, combined with the durability, strength, and utility of a pair of traditional hiking pants. The leggings are extra high-rise, feature deep pockets, and have plenty of loops for hooking keys or bear spray. They are ideal for long, rugged hikes and excel on rock scrambles and in harsh elements with the breathable, quick-drying, and abrasion-resistant fabric. (Be mindful that these leggings run very small! Our reviewer is typically a 4 in jeans and sized up to an 8 in these leggings.)

Pros Cons
  • Abrasion-resistant fabric is incredibly strong and versatile
  • A little heavy for warm weather
  • Super high-rise fit
  • Sizes run small
  • Drawcord for a customized fit
  • Huge, stretchy pockets on both sides of the leggings
  • Multiple fabric hooks and D rings to hang keys, bear spray, etc
