Initial Thoughts on the Outdoor Vitals Summit Down Sleeping Bag

The Outdoor Vitals Summit Down Sleeping Bag is the perfect blend of warm insulation and lightweight design. It’s really soft and cozy and packs up nice and small. I tested the zero-degree version, and this is now my go-to bag for all colder-season adventures.

Pros Cons
  • The draft collar shoulder baffles increase the warmth a ton!
  • The zipper isn’t super smooth. Pinch it together at the top for an easier pull.
  • At just over 2 pounds, this is ultralight for a zero-degree bag.
  • The 3/4 zip saves weight but can be tricky to use when getting in and out of or changing clothes in your sleeping bag.
