Initial Thoughts on the LEKI Black Series FX Carbon

The LEKI Black Series FX Carbon trekking poles are certainly some of the best trekking poles on the market. At just 228g, they feel feather light in your hands. The grip is very comfortable and the lockout system for extending and folding the poles is really slick. They feel really solid with no unnecessary wiggling or twisting of parts. After testing with these poles, my next activity was taking my old trekking poles to my local outdoor consignment shop to be sold. These LEKI poles are everything I’d ever want in a trekking pole.

Pros Cons
  • Incredibly lightweight and low profile
  • Very pricey!
  • The Speed Lock 2 Plus system is very satisfying
  • Somewhat easy to pinch your fingers while extending the poles
