Initial Thoughts on the Sea to Summit Ultralight Insulated Air Sleeping Mat

A sleeping pad engineered for those who demand comfort and warmth without the annoyance of bulk. This pad is ideal for backpackers, and lightweight campers, combining advanced materials and an innovative design to provide comfort and a thermally efficient sleeping solution.
I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort this pad provides as it doesn’t look like much initially inflated but, the air-sprung cells provide exactly what you need while out in the backcountry with about 2.5 inches of thickness. One of my favorite features is the integrated pump in the stuff sack to make the inflating process as easy as possible for the user.

Pros Cons
  • Excellent insulation for 3-season use (3.1 R-Value)
  • Higher price point compared to basic sleeping pads
  • Lightweight and compact
  • Limited to 3-season adventures as a result of its 3.1 R-value
  • Quick and easy inflation/deflation with a user-friendly valve
