Highlights of the VJ Shoes Artix

Initial Thoughts on the VJ Shoes Artix

As we head into Spring this lightweight boot is perfect for all terrain and conditions – from snow and ice to muddy and rocky trails, these waterproof hiking boots provide great protection through all the elements. I am also a big fan of the ankle support and superior amount of traction, giving me a great sense of security out on all of my various adventures. These Artix boots will get a lot of use all year round!
Pros Cons
  • The tongue on the back is helpful for getting in and out
  • Run a bit small, recommend sizing up – especially if you tend to wear thicker hiking socks
  • Laces stay in place all the way up the boot,  no need to cross/lace the top half yourself
  • A bit stiff/rigid to start, but the amount of cushion helps and they do break in pretty quickly
