    1. After years of not backpacking , I’m back. And I’m inneed of some new gear. Can’t wait to hit the old stomping grounds in the Aderondacks.
ANY TAKERS? Any suggestions/ recommendations on NEW GEAR?

  1. In these uncertain times,we retreat into our selves yet draw strength from one another. The wilderness surrounds us and lives within us. We must dig deep pushing ourselves to be strong,be safe and to carry on.

      1. Thank you for the contest! if I win I’ll post it on Facebook with all the gear so everyone sees how awesome backpacking.com is!!!!

    1. Especially after the last month, we’re desperate to get out into the wilderness. Even better with new gear!

  2. Y’all are awesome. It s something to look forward to. Even if I don’t win anything it’s always great to see another winning something and knowing they’re super excited about it. Good luck out there y’all!

  3. Cant’t wait to get back to the trail!! The only place where I feel “normal.” I am not a fan of that word generally speaking but, you all know what I mean.

  4. What great products! I would love to win this giveaway! Taking a camping trip will be one of the first things I want to do when they lift the “stay at home” order in LA.

  6. Backpacking and camping are serious addictions! You can never have enough gear, so I’d love to win any of these prizes, thanks for the chances. ♥♥♥

  7. I keep hearing stories about the wildlife having a party without us around. What we learn ,will make us more human tomorrow. But now , more than ever, I can’t wait to walk up into the mountains.

  8. Great line-up and fantastic sponsored products. I’m looking forward to using all my new gear and product!!!!!!!!

  9. Awesome prize pack!!! This parlor camping ain’t cutting it! We’ve been hiking a few small trails with the dog, just to satisfy that hiking itch! But we can’t wait until they free us so we can go ham with the camping and hiking!

  10. I hope to win this contest. I have some of the gear already, but not near this quality. I was a distance and trail runner, and rode mountain bike on trails and as fishing trek transportation. After 20 years in the Navy I retired in very good physical condition despite having both shoulders replaced due to in-service injuries. Approximately ten years ago, in my late 40’s, I began having serious back issues. Long story short, degenerative disc disease and osteoarthritis, coupled with bi-lateral sciatica and widespread creeping tactile paralysis in both legs. I am now a 100% disabled combat veteran. A few years back, I eventually gave away my bikes to friends older kids and pretty much gave up running. After three operations, and more to follow, I have taken up slack water kayaking and GENTLE trail hikes. Both are usually coupled with fishing. I was due for a left knee replacement…two days ago, that was before COVID. Hopefully June-ish, then the right knee when the left heals. My future goals are to add snowshoe hikes when my knees get replaced, and get to the point where I can do overnight camps again. For me, hiking (daypack with weight) and kayaking are my rehab and my ways to enjoy MAINE. I live in a beautiful place and I am privileged to still be able to enjoy it. Thanks for listening to my story…lol.

  11. Thank you so much for the chance to win some much needed gear. It will open up a wonderful world of the great outdoors to someone who needs to reconnect with the beauty of this world.

  12. In a world in a current state of uncertainty, I am blown away by a camping gear giveaway. Really touches my heart and reminds me why we are doing this, what we are doing this for and what we can do when we get out of this. Thanks and I hope I win so I can have some better gear to take my 5 year old daughter out to enjoy and be delighted by the limitless boundaries of the natural world.

  13. I am slight new to backpacking
I have hiked in and out of the Grand Canyon once and took a motorized water trip on the Colorado River and the hiked out the Bright Angel trail.

  14. Amazing!!! My plan was more travel this year as a newly single person…. now I have to wait a little longer but seeing these awesome products makes me excited as ever to get back out on the trails!!!

  15. So happy you guys came together to do such a wonderful give away! Good luck and I hope everyone’s stay happy, healthy, and safe.

  16. Companies like you help us all stay inspired in these tough times! Thanks for sticking together!

  17. Work as nurse assistant in nursing home…. Especially now with covid not much finances or time for much… Would be a blessing to have the gear to do something different on off days..

  18. We cannot wait for the weather to get warmer so we can spend more time outdoors! Thanks for the contest!

  19. Love the outdoors, having the opportunity to try outdoor gear is something I always look forward to.

  20. Thank you so much for this chance to win. I am an Essential worker and well when this is over, I am taking a week or more off and going camping and hiking and rejuvenate myself.

  21. Fingers crossed. Now that I have a skoolie I can fit more gear after having to get rid of it all when I had my smaller tiny home on wheels.

  22. We have been cooped up too long for the Covid-19. It’s for sure to go out and enjoy all the nature has to offer for us to discover and enjoy! I can’t wait!
