Grill Top

The Crossover Grill Top fits nice and snug atop the single burner Firebox. Now that’s build quality!

The Crossover Grill Top is an accessory to the Magma Crossover Single Burner Firebox, which turns the Firebox from a single burner stovetop to an all-out grill. The Grill Top boasts an innovative diffuser plate under the cooking surface. This plate encourages heat to spread evenly over the cooking surface, and it also channels drippings away from the burner. The Grill Top slides easily onto the Single Burner Firebox and fits perfectly.

Griddle Top

The Crossover Griddle Top is non-stick and sits on top of the single burner. It’s smooth, flat, and simple to clean!

Feeling like something sweet? The Crossover Griddle Top is the perfect add-on to create fluffy pancakes or delicious crepes. Not only does this griddle slide onto the Single Burner Firebox seamlessly, but it also has splatter guards and a non-stick surface. For those of us who appreciate a clean camp, this is excellent!

Quad Pod Stand

The Quad Pod Stand in action! This grill stand is robust and adjustable—allowing you to cook even on uneven terrain.

How the Magma Crossover Single Burner Firebox Compares to other portable grills

The world of portable grills is huge and ever-growing. Here is how the Magma Crossover Single Burner Firebox compares to some of the top-rated portable grills on the market.

Magma Crossover Single Burner Firebox vs. Camp Chef Explorer 2x Cooking System

The Camp Chef Explorer 2x Cooking System has become a really popular choice for car camping, overlanding, and group cookouts. Like the Magma Crossover System, it can be used with legs, or you can set it on a tabletop. What truly sets the Firebox above and beyond the Camp Chef Explorer is the Firebox’s wind guards and versatility of modular cooking options. The Camp Chef is known to lose its flame, especially at high altitudes—something that simply doesn’t happen with the Firebox.

Magma Crossover Single Burner Firebox vs. Traeger Scout Grill

The Traeger Scout Grill is nice and small and it packs a heat punch! But it runs on pellets, which are not always easy to find and can get expensive. The Traeger also has super short legs, so you need to always have something to sit it on. Where the Magma Crossover Single Burner Firebox pulls way ahead of the Scout Grill is its ease of use, ease of cleanup, and the ability to set it up nearly anywhere, especially with the Quad Pod Stand.

Magma Crossover Single Burner Firebox vs. Weber Q 1200

The Weber Q 1200 has become a classic go-to grill for all things outdoors. However, the Firebox is a lot more powerful, putting out 15,000 BTUs, while the Q 1200 only puts out 8,500 BTUs. Power output is incredibly important when grilling. As well as excellent power, the Magma Crossover Series offers much more finesse and control over how you cook your food. The Weber simply can’t compete.

Who Is Magma?

In 1976 two brothers got together and decided to create barbecue systems for boating, combining their two big loves of sailing and cooking. Magma’s premium grills are made with high-quality materials because the business all started as a maritime company that required the very best to stand up to the harshness of saltwater and wild weather. Now, a handful of decades later, Magma has become a top name in grilling!
