Gear Report: lululemon Blissfeel Trail Women's Running Shoe

A road-to-trail running shoe, the lululemon Blissfeel Trail meshes rugged traction with soft and springy cushioning. It’s designed for running, yet also works well as a lightweight day hiking shoe.

I tested the lululemon Blissfeel Trail Women’s Running Shoes in the Catskill Mountains of New York.

Running and hiking the trails felt great, and the shoes also were put to the test climbing rocks and stomping through deep mud — I nearly lost a shoe in the thick of it, but it held on.

First Impressions of the lululemon Blissfeel Trail Women’s Running Shoe

Before I even put these shoes on, I was impressed by the quality of the materials and design. And that rang true while I wore them, too.

From the support of the uppers to the sturdiness of the sole lugs and heel loop — every part of the shoe feels strong and reliable. I have no doubt that these trail shoes will put up with a lot of abuse and stand the test of time.

The grip on the dry trail was superb. I felt very secure in my footing. However, I did slip on some wet rocks. The hard rubber sole and lugs proved to be excellent in dry conditions, and it’s sure to last a long time, but that toughness is a tradeoff in the wet because in wet weather, soft rubber grips better.

That said, the Blissfeel Trail Shoes didn’t soak through — no rain or wet mud penetrated the uppers, so my feet stayed nice and dry. Plus, the outer material was very easy to clean, which is great because I love the color of these shoes.

The Best Part of the lululemon Blissfeel Trail Women’s Running Shoe

Really, the fit and level of comfort put the lululemon Blissfeel Trail Running Shoes in a league of their own. These are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn — it feels like you’re hiking and running on clouds, no matter the terrain.

lululemon says that the Blissfeel Trail Shoes were designed for women first, and it’s apparent. These shoes have a women-centric fit and cushioning profile based on 1 million foot scans — and I can feel it. It’s like these were made for my feet.

The shoe is just so, so comfortable. I want to wear them everywhere, even when I’m not on trail!
