Initial Thoughts on the Pau Hana Solo Backcountry Inflatable SUP

This board is intended for intermediate paddle-boarders who are ready to stand up from the get-go! The narrow and sleek design makes it easy to pick up speed and navigate the waters.

The top surface is rather tough and has the ‘grip dots’ to provide better traction when standing – but it can be painful on your knees.

Pros Cons
  • Great packability, comes with an awesome bag that includes backpack straps (the paddle even breaks down and fits in the bag)
  • The paddle is a bit more ‘fabric’ based, not the most sturdy design
  • Comes with two fins that are easy to attach and lock into place
  • Not a great board for beginners who would rather sit and/or kneel (or those who would like to bring a pet along)
