Initial Thoughts on the Peak Design Travel Backpack 45L

The Peak Design Travel Backpack 45L is a versatile workhorse for people on the go. Whether you’re a frequent flyer, photographer, or you just want an element of style and security, this backpack ticks all the boxes.

This pack has now been on about seven flights with me and will be enduring its first international trip shortly. I love the organization, the burly construction, and thoughtful features (like hidden zippers) that put me at ease while on the go. It doesn’t hurt that it looks fantastic.

Pros Cons
  • Expands when you need more space or can snap/zip shut for a slimmer profile
  • A little large for some planes
  • Great water bottle pockets
  • Storage cubes come separate and they’re not cheap
  • Tons of storage
  • Doesn’t look fancy or attract attention
